Skill Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate

Measurements: 11.5 inches x 9.5 inches
Swatch Gauge: 16 HDC and 11 rows in 4” square
Hook: F/3.0mm
NOTE: my Daiso Brand Crochet hook is labeled “F/3.0mm”. Your hook may measure differently. Please check, and utilize your swatch gauge. I crochet on the tight side

This is a Scrapbuster design:
Basically: random bits of yarn collected over the last few weeks of crocheting for Christmas….
rolled into a ball and used “as is” OR sorted into color allotments and incorporated in an organized manner.

This is a Confident Beginner skill level design:
Knowledge of basic crochet stitches and techniques is strongly recommended. The Wand Weaver YouTube Channel provides video demonstrations for your assistance. With the exception of the Center Circle and the final tail ends, ALL of the tail ends are worked over in this pattern. Turning chain does not count unless otherwise stated.

Construction:
This crochet design is worked from the toe up to the arch, the heel is built off the toe body, joined along the back of the ankle, and the cuff built off the heel, finished up with a lovely lemon peel border, with an optional loop for hanging. Heel is a simple box design.

Will they stretch?
Yes. Possibly. For my children, they loved to see their stockings all “lumpy and stretched” from the items tucked lovingly inside. Due to the nature of crochet, the stockings will stretch a bit. The combination of a small hook size and closely woven stitches will create a tight weave to keep stretching at a minimum. These Christmas stockings are reusable and if made with acrylic yarn: machine wash and dryable.
