This design by Theodora Goes Wild is inspired by the silver screen glamour of the 1930s. In particular, the style of Joan Crawford.

Knit flat from the bottom-up, it incorporates a full peplum and nipped-in waist. It has three-quarter length sleeves, which are very full and gathered. A bow belt and a neat shawl collar which ties in front completes its vintage look.

The main body is knit in stocking stitch, with sleeve cuffs, front bands and collar worked in moss stitch.

The Joan Crawford jacket fits with a little positive ease.

The jacket was originally knit in silk, but would also work in silk blends or in cotton.
