The Joanie Reversible Beanie is a knit-like crochet hat with added handsewn patch elements. The construction is fairly simple and only a basic knowledge of handsewing is required. Picture tutorials are included. Beginner to intermediate level.

Materials Needed:
Yarn: sport weight
Hook Sizes: H/8-5.00mm (or size needed to obtain
correct gauge), E/4-3.50mm hook for granny square
Estimated Yardage: Yards: 165 yds (151 m) for largest adult size
darning needle (also used for embroidery)
1.75 in (4.5 cm) squared leather or fabric patch
Size 3 crochet thread for little granny square and sewing on leather/fabric patch
leather hole punch or awl

Circumference:
Baby: 14 in (36 cm)
Toddler: 16 in (41 cm)
Child: 18 in (46 cm)
Tween: 20 in (51 cm)
