The squishiness of Farm & Wuzzies Twice As Nice demanded some gorgeous cables! I designed this cowl in the deep midwinter when it’s the coldest, and darkest and winter has gotten old. The repetition of the ribbing and cable charts is soothing and meditative and all but two cables in the chart can certainly be done without a cable needle. I love watching the cables take their form and how the twisted stitches make the single cable pop. This is one project that I enjoy making but I’m even more excited to wear! This cowl would make a thoughtful gift as well. At only one skein this is a great project for that special DK weight skein you’ve been saving!

MATERIALS

SIZE: One Size, customizable by adding extra cable repeats for length and/or height. Note: Extra yarn will be needed if extending the length.

YARN
1 skein Farm & Wuzzies Twice As Nice (100g/231yds) in Belly of the Whale colorway -OR-
Any DK weight yarn with comparable gauge. (Farm & Wuzzies Double Trouble would be another great option!)
As written I used 90% of the skein, or about 210 yds. Yarn usage can vary based on gauge (tension, needle size, and yarn composition).

NEEDLES
US 6 circular needles, 16” or 24” length.

NOTIONS
Darning needle
Scissors
7 Stitch Markers (one of a different color/type to denote the BOR)
Cable needle

GAUGE
30 sts & 33 rows/4” in cable pattern after blocking.
Cable motif repeat (23 sts & 12 rows): 3.25” x 1.25”
