This is my first pattern so I apologize for any mistakes. Please let me know of any corrections that need to be made.

This is a plaid pattern, also called a tartan. This particular tartan is Johnnie Walker Whiskey’s that I found on Tartans Scotland. It’s not exact since I guessed my stitches based off the picture, not a pattern. It’s done in 3 colors: red, black and gold (which I call White in my pattern since that’s the color I used in my blanket).

You only need to know two stitches to create this blanket, double crochet and chain but because of the color changes and the unusual construction of this blanket, I’ve rated it moderately difficult. Basically, you create a filet mesh, turn the blanket 90 degrees and weave chains in the mesh in the same pattern.

I do pretty much all of my creations in I Love This Yarn from Lobby Hobby. You don’t have to do yours in the same brand but I like it because it’s not scratchy like some of the other worsted weight yarns in the same price range. If you do this pattern in a different weight yarn, adjust the amount of yarn and hook size that you use accordingly.
