Jökulsárlón
Jökulsárlón Lopapeysa NOW in 9 sizes with 2 yoke patterns and Female and Male variants
HISTORY
Inspired by Jökulsárlón Glacier lagoon in Iceland and Icelandic people who wear sweaters instead of jackets. Wanted to create a super durable sweater for wearing under parka, jacket or coat in freezing cold winter and itself when hiking, skiing or wandering in the forest. Its double thick collar and warm yoke allows not to wear a shawl or a big scarf.
The full story of creation with a lot of photos and not much text can be found in my blog
CONSTRUCTION
This pullover is worked top-down using provisional cast-on, then yoke worked with the chart of stranded colorwork.
Special technique underarm creates super comfortable and anatomic shape of shoulders and sleeves for more easy movements of arms.
