A sideways sweater, knit from the centre out to each cuff. Jolly Cardy is designed to make the most of a festive yarn mini-skein set and would also make a fun scrappy project or keep it simple with one colour. Work the 6-row stripe repeat or knit on, changing colours as inspiration strikes. The pattern offers a choice between two body lengths and a sleeveless or sleeve option. A deep twisted ribbing hem adds contrast to your Jolly Cardy.

18 sts and 28 rows/rounds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette on larger needles, blocked
21 sts and 28 rows/rounds = 4”/10 cm in twisted ribbing on smaller needles, blocked

NEEDLES
2 x sets of US 7/4.5 mm circular needles, or size required to obtain gauge. Optional US 7/4.5 mm DPNs for working the sleeves in the round. 1 x US 6/4 mm needles for working ribbing, in the round for cuffs and flat for hem and buttonband, or size one needle size less than gauge needle.

NOTIONS
