A cute Santa pattern for you to knit this season. It’s actually a few patterns wrapped into one, since the hat, mittens, knapsack and tiny teddy bear can be used separately as Christmas tree ornaments or package toppers. All of the instructions for ornaments as well as the complete Santa are included in the 13 page pdf file. I have two versions of the pattern, one hand knit and one machine knit. The end product should look the same.

For the hand knit pattern, all pieces are knit flat and seamed. I used size 8 knitting needles. St. Nick measures 19” tall and about 6” wide at the belly. Sporting a Norwegian scarf and lugging a knapsack full of goodies, he’s an authentic Claus. All pieces are stockinette and reverse stockinette. The pattern is suitable for a beginning knitter.
