The Amigurumi Whale pattern uses fabric as the bottom of the whale. I suggest high quality fleece, or faux leather in this application. Materials needed for the project are listed below!

Yarn:
100 yards super bulky guage 6 yarn. (I used 1/2 of a skein of dark blue Bernat Blanket Yarn)
1 yard light blue, super bulky yarn
2 yards Black, medium weight yarn
1 yard White, medium weight yarn

Hooks:
8 mm
4 mm (making the eyes)
5.5 mm (working in the fleece)

Additional:
8” strip of fleece or faux leather (thick and high quality, is best)
Yarn needle
Scissors (fabric and paper)
Fine tipped marker
Fabric pins (for assembling)
(2) 12 oz bags of fiber fill
1 Pair black nylons (Large & cheap nylons are best)
Printer: Print off the 5th page for fabric pattern

I hope you enjoy making the whale!
