This potholder is made with the new crochet technique that I have called carreaux crochet. You make a double layered patch in one go.

The design is inspired by the logo of a small French town.

For a potholder I have used about 30 - 35 grams of each basic color - Blue and white - and 5 - 6 grams for the border.

If you want a bigger potholder you can add rows and stitches. Depending on you crochet technique (lifter, rider or yanker) your gauge might be slightly different, that is no problem.

The row-by-row description is for the bigger seagulls, there are also pictures of smaller charts or you can check out this reel for another version.

Images available for both right and left handed people.
