Joo Sweater
Joo Sweater is an oversized sweater inspired by hanbok, Korea’s national attire. It is knitted from the top down with raglan increases, and short rows are worked in the neck to create the shape of the neckline. The sleeves are knitted in stockinette stitch while evenly spaced increases are worked, which gives them their wide shape. The sleeves and body are finished with a folding edge and stockinette stitch, which is folded inwards and sewed in place at the end.
The sizes 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 (8) correspond to a bust circumference of approx. 85 (90) 95 (100) 110 (120) 130 (140) cm, and the measurements given on the front page of the pattern are the measurements of the finished sweater. Joo sweater should have a positive ease of approx. 18-20 cm. Knit a gauge swatch before you begin so that you can make sure the gauge will be correct.
