A super fun and quick project! The axolotl is not only an adorable little animal but also kinda magical!

⚙️ ABOUT THE PATTERN ⚙️

  • Written in US crochet terminology for right handed crocheters
  • PDF document with 7 pages with instructions and pictures to help you understand it better
  • Worked in continuous rounds as are most amigurumi
  • Stitches used: single crochet, increase, decrease, slip stitch, chain, magic ring

✂️ MATERIALS NEEDED ✂️

  • Pink worsted weight yarn
  • Hot pink worsted weight yarn
  • Stuffing
  • Hook 3.5mm
  • 12mm safety craft eyes
  • Embroidery floss in brown for eyebrows
  • Embroidery floss in pink for cheeks
  • Tapestry needle
  • Embroidery needle
  • Scissors

This makes for a 5” amigurumi axolotl, but remember, you are creating magic from your hands, so you can vary the size by increasing or decreasing both the yarn weight (thickness) and the hook. Just remember to use a smaller hook than what the yarn calls for.

I’ve made a version with velvet yarn and H hook (5.00mm) and it came out roughly 11” and so so so cute! I strongly suggest trying this!
