Jorvik MIttens
by Outi Kater
“For these mittens, I have used a stitch pattern based on an ancient looped square symbol known in several cultures from North America to Northern Europe,” says Outi Kater. “The mittens, which are knitted using the Finnish yarn Tukuwool Fingering, have braided cuffs and side seam thumb gussets, and the striking yet easy-to-knit colourwork stitch pattern continues uninterrupted around the palm and from cuff to fingertips.”
