Skill level for this pattern is intermediate. The completed bonsai tree will stand at about 12 inches tall. To complete this pattern, you will need:

4mm crochet hook (G)
Worsted weight yarn in light brown, dark brown, green, and charcoal
Stuffing
Stitch markers
Scissors
Tapestry needle
16 gauge wire (optional)
Rice (optional)
Pom pom maker (optional)

You will also need to know basic amigurumi techniques, such as the magic ring and how to increase and decrease. You will also need to know how to do the Crab Stitch and how to make a pom pom. If you do not know how to make a pom pom by hand, you can also choose to make them with a pom pom maker.
