Juka mitts - easy fingerless mitts pattern. Mitts are knit bottom up with a thumb gusset, created with symmetrical lifted increases. A tiny cable runs up the side of the mitts.

Written instructions only.

Skills: knit in round, cast on, bind off, knit, purl, cable knitting, basic increases (make one stitch)

Sizes: one size, adult medium 20cm/7.8in hand circumference. For larger hands try using worsted weight yarn and larger needles.

Finished measurements: 23 cm/9.1in long laying flat. But it may vary due to yarn weight you choose

Yarn: DK/8 ply/ the sample knitted with Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend DK 50g/135m. The mitts shown weighs 40 g, so it takes less than a skein to knit a pair.

Needles: 3 mm (US 2.5) and 3.25 mm (US 3) circular needles at least 80 cm (32 in) long for magic loop method, or same size DPNs;
