PATTERN NOTES
This cushion is a crochet interpretation of a Scandi star, which is four folded strips of fabric woven together to make a star with eight points. Once complete, the direction of the fabric on the points is perpendicular to the middle squares of the star. See photos for how this is represented on the cushion using the direction of the crochet rows.

MATERIALS
● Rico Design Essentials Merino DK, 100% wool, 50g/120m/131yds
Yarn A: Natural 60 x 4 balls
Yarn B: Dust 88 x 3 balls
Yarn C: Red 05 x 1 ball
Yarn D: Dark Green 32 x 1 ball
Yarn E: Mustard 70 x 1 ball
● 4mm hook
● Square cushion pad, 43–45cm/17–17¾in
● Stitch marker

TENSION
Tension is not critical for this project, but it may affect the
yarn quantities required.

MEASUREMENTS
Small squares measure approximately 9.5cm/3¾in along each side, Large squares measure approximately 19.5cm/7¾in along each side. Cushion measures approximately 43 x 43cm/17 x 17in, excluding tassels.
