Named in honor of the lace addict at my knit meeting, Juliane. She is a brilliant person to talk about early design ideas. This shawl is a product of such an inspiration talk.
Juliane likes to mix different techniques and loves to add beads to pretty much everything.
The overall look of the shawl is a faroes style with a cabled and beaded centre spine and a nature inspired lace in the sides and borders.
The lace is a straight forward lace, worked only on the right side. The cables are intuitive to work and crossing appears only on the right side.
