This cowl was originally designed for my favorite barista and friend Julie. It has all of my favorite stitch patterns and every part reminds me of lazy Sunday mornings with a cup of coffee and delicious breakfast.

It is a highly adjustable pattern - you can change length and width of the cowl, and substitute stitch patterns if you like.

Materials:

357 yards / 327 meters fingering weight yarn (incl. gauge swatch), US3 (3.25mm) 16”(40 cm) circular needle or needle size to obtain gauge, stitch marker, tapestry needle.

What yarn to choose?

The pattern was written for fingering weight yarn with good stitch definition. As a general rule single, 3 and 4 ply yarn has a good stitch definition with single-ply producing softer contrast.
The sample for this pattern was knitted with single-ply 100% superwash merino yarn - Malabrigo Mechita in 35 Frank Ochre colorway.
