I love working a simple stitch detail into an otherwise
unadorned sweater. In this little cardi, worked
sideways to center front and back, a little fan motif
on the garter stitch cuffs flows into a pair of purl
ribs that extend to the neckline. The pieces end at
the center back with a few rows of garter stitch to
create a vertical panel. I joined the pieces with a
three-needle bind off, but you could graft them, if you
prefer. The collar, more simplicity, is picked up and
worked in garter stitch.
