Mittens for those who love dogs jumping with joy, with forests and stars in the background. Inspired by one of my favourite dogs, a Great Dane who jumps adorably – either to stand on her hind legs or just up and down – when she gets excited, created and knit as a gift for her human.

Note: The pattern has some very long floats (that should be twinned or something to make knitting evenly easier and avoid getting caught in them), so I would not recommend this for beginners with stranded knitting.

The different sizes varies by changing gauge and needle sizes. Row gauge is listed in case your row gauge is very loose (or tight), in which case you should go for a tighter (or looser) stitch gauge or you will get larger (or smaller) mittens than intended.

I recommend using pure (not superwash treated) wool for even stitches and warmth.
