Please read below before purchasing this pattern, as it is only available in ONE SIZE To Fit Actual Full Bust Circumference of 38.5”/98 cm with 4’’/ 10 cm of positive ease.

This pattern is only available in ONE SIZE, the size of the sample I made for myself. The sample specifications are listed in the diagram. My decision of writing and publishing a pattern in only one size is motivated by the fact that unless the interest in my patterns will significantly pick up, I can no longer justify spending so much time on pattern grating and test knitting multiple sizes. Especially now, when I am back in school working towards a new degree and completely different for me profession. After publishing my last garment pattern (Casual Friday cardigan) I have decided to no longer write patterns for garments and just knit those designs for myself, but over the last few years multiple people have asked me about availability of patterns for some of my unpublished cardigans and sweaters and after someone suggested “why don’t you just publish it in your sample size”, I thought why not? :-)
So here we are with my first one size pattern and some other ones to come in the future as well.

June Gloom Kimono is a topdown short sleeve cardigan
with a kimono style sleeves and bold diamond pattern.
Garter stitch border is framed by a little icord.

Construction
The cardigan begins with stitches provisionally cast on
for the back. Back is worked flat to the armholes. Stitches
are bind off for the sleeves. Back stitches are then put on
holder. Back collar portion is knitted first and stitches
are than picked up from the provisional cast on the
shoulders side of the Back part to work both halves of
the front to the armholes. After the armholes, the back
stitches and front stitches are joined together. The
cardigan’s body is then knitted back and forth to the
hem. Stitches for the sleeve’s border are picked up
around the sleeve openings.

Finished Size
To Fit Actual Full Bust Circumference of 38.5”/98 cm
with 4’’/ 10 cm of positive ease.

The gauge in the diamond stitch after blocking measures
12 sts x 22 rows in 8 cm x 12 cm.
