This hat is knit top-down in the round on circular needles.
You’ll begin at the crown, working evenly spaced increases to shape the dome. Once the crown reaches your desired width, the body is worked straight to give a comfortable fit that sits just above the ears. The brim includes three rounds of gentle increases create a subtle outward flare, followed by mirrored decreases to form the inside layer of the double-folded brim. The live stitches are then folded inward and binded to the inside of the hat, creating a clean, structured edge and a professional finish.

Variations:
There are two slightly different versions of this hat.

The blue version is the main one in this pattern, with a structured bind off and a short, snug body that fits more like a beanie on top.

The dark grey has a longer body and a squarer fit on top, and a longer brim for more coverage. It also has a modified bind off, which offers a softer and floppier brim.
