Look at this crocheted hat looking all knitted with the waistcoat stitch! I have a lovely video on my Facebook page to help you do this stitch. Go have a look at @Jennifersstitchedup in my videos section.

This is considered an intermediate level. You need to know how to carry yarn, waistcoat stitch and change colors between stitches to achieve this look.

This pattern offers 2 different graphs. Either way this one is a beauty. I cannot wait to see your color choices. Please tag me on social media on Facebook and Instagram.

This is written with Provincial Tweed by Knit Picks. It is on the thin side comparable to Caron Simply Soft yarns. I chose the Provincial Tweed because it has the look I wanted for this design. Working with it had me in awe because it is simply gorgeous with its specks of gold and purple.
You will need a thicker worsted yarn such as ILTY if you cannot loosen your tension with this stitch.

I also made it in Wool of the Andes Tweed. This made it work up a bit larger by adding a half inch to the width and height of the hat.
