For my “Just relax” crochet lapghan, I’ve used 600 g (12 x 50 g) Almina cotton (50g= 169m/ 1.76oz= 184 yards) and a 3,5 mm crochet hook.

The gauge for the stitch: for 10 cm (4″) with a 3,5 mm hook: 25 stitches x 16 rows.
The final dimensions are 83 cm x 115 cm ( inches x inches)

I really love how the single crochet, double crochet, and the linked double crochet stitches look together, they create a solid fabric and the result is a strong, durable fabric that is ideal for crocheting blankets. And the textured pattern will hold up very well in the washing process. But also, I think this is a great stitch for textured crochet baby blankets, sweaters, cardigans, dish wash and so many other projects that ask for a great texture and a really good drape.
