I love the “fade” technique--the way it removes the harsh dividing lines between colors. So here’s my version in one of my favorite shapes and incorporating some of my favorite stitches to keep things interesting.

It is a large piece (94” x 21.5”), but can easily be made smaller by eliminating one of the pattern repeats.

You will need a size 3, 32” circular needle.

I used exactly 1,037 yards and 10 different colors. It can be made with fewer colors by assigning the pattern repeats to the colors you have.
