I feverishly knit this top the week of my due date and the last week before I had our son, Kai, and so it is lovingly named after him. The Kai Cotton Top features a subtle design in the body of the top which adds depth and dimension. The top is made with simple lace. It has a keyhole feature in the back and boatneck. Perfect for layering over jeans, skirts, dresses or shorts.

PATTERN NOTES:

  • This top is meant to be worn with 3”-8” (7.5 cm - 23.5 cm) of positive ease. In the sample shown, it is a size 1 with 3.5” positive ease.
  • The body of the top is made from the bottom up in one piece and seamed at the shoulders using a 3-needle BO.
  • The sleeves are picked up and knit in the round.
