Meaning of Kaira “geographically, a large area between river branches in the highlands of Lapland, mostly on and around the mountain slope or uninhabited large forest area especially in northern Finland.”

Skill level: INTERMEDIATE
This pattern only includes chain stitches and slip stiches and You should know these basic stiches. Slip stitch through front loop explained with photos.

This pattern is written in english, standard American terms and includes lot of photos of the process.

Materials
Color 1 (here beige/grey) 190 meters / 208 yds
Color 2 (here turquoise) 125 meters / 137 yds
Color 3 (here purple) 125 meters / 137 yds

Yarn weight is Super chunky/6. The scarves in the pictures are made with King Cole Big Value Super Chunky and Drops Andes. Drops Andes is on the finer side of the super bulky yarns, so the scarf ended up slightly smaller.

Other yarn suggestions> Drops Eskimo, Rico Essentials Super Chunky, Cascade Big Wheel, Casacade Lana Grande, Stylecraft Life Super Chunky, Stylecraft Special XL Super Chunky, MillaMia Naturally Soft Super Chunky (slightly heavier super chunky and can go little bit over the gauge> 10 rows measures 10cm / 4”).

Crochet hook: 10-12mm / N,P,15-17 or whatever to obtain the gauge.
Piece of cardboard for the tassels (Instructions in the pattern).
