Kajagoogoo is named after a British New Wave band who had a one-hit wonder with the song “Too Shy” back in 1983. This cowl is divided into three sections and all you need to do to keep track of the stitch pattern is to sing the chorus of this classic track over and over again. (Seriously.)

Too.
Shy.
Shy.
Hush, hush.
Eye to eye.

Knit, knit.
Purl, knit, purl.

At the end of this project, you’ll either be reliving the glory days of the 1980s with the big hair and the synthesized beats or you’ll have an earworm stuck in your head that will linger long after you put your needles down. In any case, you will have a stylish accessory that would look great on any fashionable pop star.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The cowl begins with a section resembling seed stitch, followed by a middle section featuring welts. Halfway through this second section, decreases are worked evenly across the round so that the stitches in the third section line up on top of each other to create a ribbed effect.
