This is an easy simple crochet pattern for making a slouchy beanie with chunky yarn.

Using 10ply and 6mm hook, you can have a hat finished in an hour!

I only use half a ball of Spotsaver US style yarn. I’m not sure specifically how much.

A video is available if you get stuck or want to check the way the stitches line up https://youtu.be/arQSzYu2YlQ

The name is an in-joke with my partner, who I made this pattern for originally. His name is Cale and it’s often misspelled, and the green I used on the video is leafy green. I never said it was a good joke. ;)

The pattern allows for large or small adult size; teens could absolutely wear it also. The only change is the band has an extra row of decreases for smaller sizing. If you want to make a child’s size, simply downsize your hook to a 5mm. I did this by mistake and it definitely made a difference.
