The cardigan is knitted top-down using 8ply (DK) yarn, so it knits up quickly! It uses knit and purl stitches and yarns over, and has a stranded colourwork yoke. The yoke and body is knitted flat, but the sleeves are knitting in the round using either magic loop (on circular needles) or double-pointed needles. And there are no seams!

This pattern is for size 0-6 months, and measures approximately 20cm (10 inches) long from shoulder to waist, 45cm (17 inches) around the chest, and 15cm (6 inches) from armpit to cuff. You will need 80-100g of the background yarn and 30g of the contrast yarn. It was tested using 8ply acrylic (SuperSaver brushed) yarn, so the measurements and weights may vary if you use cotton or wool.

The pattern calls for 3.5mm (size 4) and 4.5mm (size 7) needle sizes, as well as a large-eyed darning needle to sew in the ends.
