Another Studio Ghibli inspired pattern to add to the collection – but this one has an added twist! Our pattern for Kaonashi/No Face, the antagonist from Spirited Away, can open up and devour whatever keepsake you want to keep safe.

The materials required are listed below. The yarn used to make them as pictured was Drops Paris (cotton) yarn in red, black and white, but with scraps of purple for the face detailing. You can of course use whatever yarn you have to hand, just be sure to adjust the hook size accordingly.

Materials Required:

•Aran Yarn (black, red, white and scraps of purple)
• 3.5mm crochet hook
•4mm safety eyes x 2
• Stitch markers and pins
• Yarn needle
* Scrap of red felt

Stitch Knowledge Required:

Sc = Single crochet
Slip st = Slip stitch
Invdec = invisible decrease
Sc2tog = single crochet decrease
** = a repeating stitch pattern
