Kapakahi is Hawai’ian for lopsided. Its the perfect description for this lovely & versatile stitch pattern. Kapakahi Shells are an excellent canvas for showcasing those gorgeous variegated yarns and can even manage to make them look more interesting! Plus, this stitch pattern will add fabulous texture to your solid color projects, especially when worked in the round.

This is a great tutorial for BEGINNERS looking for a fun and simple, yet impressive, pattern using stitches you already know! Plus, more experienced stitchers will really enjoy how fun this stitch is to make. I’ve included my three favorite projects using this most awesome Stitch Pattern and a GAUGE SWATCH TUTORIAL to help you design your own projects :)

1- A Simple Baby Blanket : So I had an ulterior motive for creating a baby blanket…I’m finally going to be a Tutu! That’s Hawaiian for Grandma :))

2- A (Perfect for Spring!) Circle Scarf : An easily adaptable pattern, this scarf can be made as long or as short as you like. Just make sure you have enough yarn!

3- A Chunky Cowl Hood : I was honestly just curious to see what Kapakahi Shells would look like if they were kinda GIANT. Turns out they look totally AWESOME!

This 10 page Tutorial includes both a PRINTER FRIENDLY version AND beautiful PHOTO TUORIALS to help you along…
