I have drawn inspiration for the design of Karelides from the traditional knitwear of my native Finland.

The name of the design comes from an ancient mountain range running from Eastern Finland to Lapland.

The cardigan has been knitted with undyed Shetland wool, following the seamless, steeked construction method still widely used in Shetland.
