This chemo cap was developed for my mom as she lost her hair and needed to keep her head warm, but not too warm. The fan detailing allows it to breathe a bit and I highly recommend a yarn like Cumulus that is the perfect softness for a hat that will be worn directly on sensitive skin.

My mother passed away in February 2016, but I know she would be so happy to see the cap that she inspired go to good use!

This year marks the 5th anniversary of releasing this pattern! I wanted to give the pattern, and the video I filmed to explain the fan stitch, a little make over!

You can find the video to explain the fan stitch here: https://bealittleknitty.blogspot.com/2021/03/karen-chemo-cap-makeover.html

You can find the yarn I used in the new made over version here: https://www.alittleknitty.com/shop/Yarn/Worsted-Weight-Yarn/p/Cumulus-by-Juniper-Moon-Farm-x50491478.htm

Please share this pattern with friends or family that might be in need of a chemo cap.
