This is a relatively large ball, could be made larger or smaller by changing yarn weight and hook size. Any yarn would work, you just want to make sure it’s fluffy enough to create nice solid stitches. The amount of yarn is variable, but I would imagine one largish skein in the main color and very small amounts of the colored (great use of scraps!)
