The dress is worked flat and seamed at the back; the sash is knitted as part of the whole. The hem frill is picked up from the lower edge, and the neck frill from the neck edge. Puffed sleeves are set in, and press studs added for fastening.
The matching hat is crocheted in thicker yarn, and has a ribbon similar to the sash.
Using the materials suggested this should fit a small doll of around 10 inches.
Use larger needles and thicker yarn to make the outfit fit a larger doll.
The dress will only use a small amount of yarn.
I wrote the instructions as I knitted so I hope they will work out!
