Katrine’s Stripy Sweater
Colors and stripes are just gorgeous – my very first design was a stripy sweater named Bernadette. This new sweater is my first design in our pretty, new Hanne Falkenberg Shetland wool, Önling No 20, which comes in more than 60 beautiful colors.
I had to limit myself to selecting 10 colors, and I have challenged myself by including a color that ’ru- ins’ the pretty color palette. Precisely this – in my case lemon yellow – color gives an ‘edge’ to my sweater and makes the beholder’s eye stop and wonder. Choosing colors is an extremely individual and personal thing; combine your colors to your personal taste to make the sweater entirely your own.
Use the original yarn, or use your leftovers. The pattern is super simple and basic, which allows you to adapt it to your own needs and desires. The yarn is your colors, your needles your canvas – just start painting!

Procedure
The sweater is worked in the round from the top down. Stitches are cast on using a provisional, crochet cast-on to allow adjusting the size of the neck opening. Short rows are worked across the shoulders and back of the neck to make the sweater higher at the back of the neck. The yoke is worked with increases. The yoke stitches are then divided into sleeves and body, which are finished separately.
