Rikke sweater
Here is a super nice, lovely, and ultra-feminine sweater. Rikke Jønsson, who is behind the incredibly beautiful Instagram profile @handmade__by__rj, came up with the idea for this gorgeous sweater. In 2023, Rikke and I collaborated on the pattern for Rikke’s summer top, and this sweater is a natural extension of that super nice top, which has already been knitted by many. The agreement is still that I would create the pattern based on Rikke’s idea. So here is Rikke’s take on her favorite sweater. It is knitted in a very fine rib pattern with an integrated lace pattern. The ribbing relaxes a lot during washing and blocking. The fit is oversized, with a positive ease of between 15-20 cm / 6-8 inches. If you prefer a sweater with less positive ease, you should go down in size. Rikke prefers hers more oversized and has made it one size larger than she normally would. The sweater is knitted in 1 strand of Önling No 1, which is our super luxurious merino wool & angora yarn, perfect for sweaters.

NOTE! The sweater is knitted in rib stitch pattern, which stretches a lot. Therefore, it’s important that you wash and block your finished sweater to shape and size. It’s really difficult to measure gauge when knitting rib pattern. And a small swatch is often misleading compared to the actual sweater with many
stitches. Therefore, only use the swatch as a guide and measure on the actual work.
