The Katve sweater is a timeless, classically beautiful wardrobe staple. Worked in stockinette stitch, it features a round neckline, long sleeves, and a hem that falls at the upper hip. The fit is relaxed and slightly loose, with a relatively short hem. If you prefer the hem to reach the lower hip, simply add about 10 cm to the length and remember to reserve extra yarn for this adjustment.

The sweater is knitted seamlessly from the bottom up. The hem and sleeves are worked separately and then joined onto the same circular needle at the yoke. Katve features rounded raglan sleeves, meaning the decreases are worked at a different pace on the sleeve and body sides. This construction creates an exceptionally comfortable fit and shapes the sleeve into a narrow strap over the shoulder, reminiscent of a saddle shoulder.

By knitting the Katve hood to go with your Katve sweater, you can create a charming hoodie set. The detachable hood makes the garment wonderfully versatile, and of course, both pieces can also be worn separately. The Katve hood pattern will soon be available as a separate design.

Katve is knitted in PMK alpaca/cotton yarn. The alpaca makes the yarn warm, breathable, and wonderfully soft, while the cotton adds structure and lightness.
