METHOD
The oversized sweater is designed to be reversible and can, according to taste, be worn with either the “right” or the “wrong” side showing. The oversized sweater is worked in the round from the top down. The increases are made on either side of the patterned stitches that accentuate the raglan shaping. The patterned stitches also highlight the side ‘seams’ of the body and the underside of the sleeves. When needing to change yarns, do so at the patterned stitches on the sides of the body, the undersides of the arms or the raglan decrease, in order to hide the transition. Short rows are worked underneath the armholes to shape the neckline. For a beginner, the short rows can be omitted.
