The Keep A Light On Blanket is a relaxing crochet project using medium-weight yarn. Worked in rows, this blanket combines three different stitch patterns to create a textured fabric that is also reversible. This intermediate level project is also great for the adventurous beginner who is ready to tackle spike stitches. Be sure to check out the photo tutorials at the end of the main pattern for help with making these unique stitches.

Crochet can be an incredibly calming activity, especially during times of anxiety and stress. And so this blanket was designed to be as soothing to make as it is to use. Like most comforting projects, this uncomplicated design includes a variety of stitches that will keep the mind busy, while being repetitive enough to be meditative as well. The thick and puffy stitches will feel so soft in your hands as you work. And when it’s complete, you’ll have a wonderfully comfy blanket to wrap around yourself and the ones you love.

What a relief it is to return home at night to find that someone has left the light on for you. I hope that this project will bring you comfort and be a light you can return to whenever you need it.
