A cropped, swing style vest created from mitered squares turned on point to make diamond shapes. The subtle swing shape is made by decreasing the hook size as the garment progresses.

Depending on the size, it will take approximately 700 - 1400 yards of the main color and 525 - 875 yards of the contrasting color to make the vest. The sample vest in size medium used 4 skeins of Koigu KPPPM P150B101 and 3 skeins of Koigu KPM 1500 219. However, any fingering weight yarn can be used.

Since the vest is constructed modularly, the size of the diamond controls the width of the garment and the vest can also be lengthened or shortened by adding or subtracting rows of diamonds.

The vest is created from the bottom up in one piece, so when it is completed the only seams are at the shoulder.
