This is the fifth square released for the In Mawwi blanket, this pattern was originally released as a graph on an ELCG (East London Crochet Group) worksheet in 2023, I have now added the written instructions and added the photo of the reverse of the square as well as the front.

This square is worked in Interlocking/double filet crochet from the bottom up.

This is one of my favourite squares in the collection, unfortunately I didn’t make the best choice of colours for photography.

There are no instructions for joining the squares, every one has their own preferences but I use the standard front lacing method that the ELCG use.

Double Filet crochet is very similar to interlocking crochet where you work two filet nets interwoven.
