The days are getting colder and the mornings can already be chilly and crisp. Three simple and essential knitting stitches create a warm an squishy embrace, Kennebunkport is a shawl that will guard you against the coldest of winds all day long!

Yarn: Holst Supersoft, 287 m (314 yards)/50 g
Yardage for sample: app. 1280 m/1400 yards (5 skeins), held double, shown in colour Topaz and rounded border; for pointy border version allow 1415 m/1550 yards

If you use a heavier yarn weight (held single) you will need app. half of the yardage stated above.

You may substitute with any yarn that knits up to gauge. Please keep in mind that differences in gauge affect yardage; so make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project!

Needles: 4.5 mm/US 7 and 3.75 mm/US 5; circular needle, cable 80 cm/32” or longer

Notions: 4 stitchmarkers, 1 removable stitchmarker, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, pins for blocking (optional)

Gauge: 14 stitches/26 rows in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking with relaxed fabric

Size: (upper width and depth) 195x80 cm/77”x31” (rounded border); 215x80 cm/85”x31”(pointy border)

Thank you to all my testers for your work and the beautiful shawls you made!
