Needles: US Size 6 (4 mm) set of dpns, 24”, three 40” circular or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle, cable needle (cn)

Gauge:
23 sts x 23 rows = 4” in stranded knitting with larger needle
23 sts x 30 rows = 4” in cable pattern (Center chart)

Pattern Notes
This shawl begins in the center and is knit outward in the Shifting Cables pattern. Stitches are increased two out of every three rounds during this section. After this center section, each side is worked outward separately. Finally, stitches are picked up around the entire shawl for the ribbed edging.

Due to the larger nature of the repeats, all stitch patterns are in chart form only.

Though a cable needle is listed in the notions list, it is used only for the 2x1 cables. If you are comfortable cabling with out a cable needle, there will be no need for one.
