Ketting is Dutch for chain, and this mosaic pattern inspired by chains seemed the perfect design for a pair of mittens worn while biking in the cold damp wind of a Dutch winter. I have made extra-long cuffs on these mittens to keep wrists warm up into coat sleeves, even with arms extended on the handlebars.

Designed for worsted weight (9 WPI) on the cuffs, and DK weight (11 WPI) for the hand patterning. Also optional: Use DK throughout.
