We have a tradition in our family where everyone gets new pajamas on Christmas Eve. One year, I picked out a beautiful nightgown for my mom. With one day left, I started wrapping the gifts and took a more careful look at the nightgown. It had a large, scooping neckline, and the current temperature outdoors was about -20. My mother’s neck would be freezing if I didn’t do something fast! As are many things, the Keyhole Scarf was born out of necessity. It is a warm, functional scarf and the “keyhole” keeps it in place. It works up very quickly and can even be made from scrap yarn. Christmas Eve Mom got her beautiful nightgown and the Keyhole Scarf kept her neck toasty warm all night.
