Khaita Hat
The Khaita Hat is part of the Tibetan Euphony collection designed by Valentina Cosciani for mYak.
A sophisticated hat worked in the bottom up in the round. The wide brim is worked in twisted rib stitch. It is embellished by a interesting and intricate lace motif.
Finished Measurement:
Brim circumference: 48 cm – 19”.
Length: 26.5 cm – 10½”.
stretches to fit head circumferences of 48 – 56 cm / 19 – 22”.
Yarn:
mYak Baby Yak Medium; 2 skeins.
Sample knit in Desert colorway.
Suggested Needles:
3 mm – US 2½ with a 40 cm – 16” cable;
4 mm – US 6 with a 40 cm – 16” cable;
a set of DPNs 4 mm – US 6 (or circular needles with
an 80 cm – 32” cable for Magic Loop method).

Tapestry needle and scissors
Gauge:
18 stitches & 26 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
