This garment is the kids/youth version of the Adult Juniper Twist Sweater by Gina Mastrianni. It has only been tested in Adult Sizes 1 - 2 - 3 and has not been tested in Kids Sizes (I advertised for this for weeks, but no applicants for certain sizes). Send me a message if you want to test knit it!

Wear it frontwards or backwards!

Disclaimers

Sweater is intended to be worked in 5 different colors, however yardage is listed out in the PDF per section, so if you decide to use fewer colors, make sure to add up the yardage needed for those sections. The original sweater was worked in 2 colors. Note that no specific color codes will be given in the pattern.

Tested in Sizes 1 - 3 for Adult pattern.
Tester Size 1: Cascade Lana Grande (6033, 6027, 6040, 6084, 6088)
Tester Size 3: Drops Andes (light beige mix, dark grey mix, pistachio, moss green)

Testers needed for Sizes 4 - 8 Adult. Testing requires a 4 week deadline, close communication and measurements of yardage/garment, clear photos, and examples of previous knitting experience.

Original sweater worked with k1,p1 ribbings. Pattern is written for slightly different ribbings. Check tester photos.

Previous knowledge required: sloped bind off, picking up Sts evenly around an opening, surface slip stitches (optional), mattress seam stitch

Garment Construction
The garment is worked bottom-up in the round. Stitches are bound off at the underarm and the front top half is worked flat. Stitches are bound off at the second underarm and the back top half. Shoulder seams are seamed shut with a tapestry needle. Stitches are picked up at the collar and worked in the round. A crochet hook is used to crochet surface slip stitches around the base of the collar. Stitches are picked up at the left and right sleeve holes and worked in the round. The front and back of the garment are identical in measurements and can therefore be worn backwards.

The sweater is graded in cm and then converted to inches.
Measurements are round to the nearest .25 cm/”, except when intending to give more accuracy for inches.

Yarn
GarnStudio DROPS Andes (65% Wool, 35% Alpaca; 100g/3.5oz = 90 m/98.4 yards)
Yarn Group E / 14 ply / super bulky (5 - 6 wpi)

Note: testers found that if you cannot find a good alternative in this weight class, to choose a lighter yarn instead of heavier/bulkier. In my opinion, Drops Andes acts more like a bulky than super bulky sometimes. Testers also had success with Cascade Lana Grande.
