Striped Bobble Hat for Kids-Crochet UK terms
I came up with this pattern when I wanted to make a hat for my husband that didn’t look too feminine and wasn’t too plain. I have since adapted it and changed it to use a whole host of colours depending on what I have in my stash. This is the kids version that is soft, stretchy and warm. This hat actually fits a small adult but is designed to be comfortable for the head of a child from about 6 upwards. This is a good pattern for someone who is moving on from being a beginner to gaining some extra techniques making their work more refined.
I prefer having a foundation treble crochet to making a foundation chain for this hat because you can build your first row and connect the ends to then carry on crocheting in the round.
